Star Wars 9 | Designer de produção concluiu trabalho no filme

Star Wars: Episódio 9 está em gravação e ao que parece, com tudo pronto. Na última semana, o designer de produção do filme, Jake Lunt Davies, anunciou nas redes sociais que encerrou a sua participação no longa. Confira abaixo.

O designer trabalhou nos outros dois filmes da trilogia e também nas derivadas Rogue One: Uma História Star Wars e Han Solo: Uma História Star Wars. O profissional informou no Instagram que esse pôde ter sido seu último filme na franquia.

“Essa semana meu contrato acabou com Star Wars… o que significa que depois de cinco filmes em cinco anos, eu concluí minha participação na franquia. Quando criança essa era minha ambição e eu ainda não acredito que tive a oportunidade de participar e contribuir com o legado da galáxia Star Wars”, citou Davies, mostrando algumas de suas criações para os longas.

O episódio final da saga Skywalker traz veteranos da franquia como Carrie Fisher (que terá imagens de arquivo utilizadas), Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams e Anthony Daniels.

Eles se juntam ao elenco formado por Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, Matt Smith, Dominic Monaghan e Keri Russell.

Star Wars: Episódio 9 estreia nos cinemas brasileiros em 19 de dezembro de 2019.

So this week my contract ended on Star Wars EpIX….which kind of means after 5 years and 5 movies, I’ve finally finished on Star Wars. As a kid this was my childhood ambition and I still can’t believe that I’ve now actually had this opportunity to be part of and contribute to the legacy of the Star Wars galaxy. Above are a few of the things I designed for TFA, Rogue 1, TLJ and Solo. However as much as I and my concept colleagues @lukedfisher @martin_rezard and Ivan Manzella get to dream up all these characters and ideas, none of it would happen or become reality without the brilliant team we work with under Neal Scanlan’s leadership – the sculptors; the mould makers, foam shop and seamers; the fabrication team; the model makers; the mechies, animatronic designers and electronics guys; the hair team; the painters and make-up artists; and the performers that finally bring these creatures to life. Thank you Neal for asking me to be part of the team. Beyond the CFX department I’d also thank Costume Designers Michael Kaplan, @glyn_dillon and Dave Crossman plus the CG artists at @ilmvfx for adding their magic to our work.
