O Film Independent Spirit Awards 2019 aconteceu neste sábado (23) e premiou o filme Se a Rua Beale Falasse como o Melhor Filme Independente de 2019. Além do principal prêmio do evento, o longa ainda recebeu os prêmios de Melhor Diretor, para Barry Jenkins, e de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante, para Regina King. Gleen Close foi eleita a Melhor Atriz, enquanto Ethan Hawke o Melhor Ator.
